About
About CannaEvidence
The independent guide to medical cannabis across Europe: every European country in English, seven of them also in their own language with a register-checked directory. We answer two questions honestly: what actually applies where you are — and can what is written here be checked?
What this directory is
CannaEvidence is an independent, informational guide and directory. For every European country we answer the same questions from the law, the regulator and the official statistic — what may be prescribed, who may prescribe it, who pays, what a border or a roadside test means — each with its source and the date we read it. Where a country has providers a patient must actually find, we record them from official registers — the CQC, GPhC and dm+d in the UK; the BfArM mail-order register and the commercial register in Germany; RPWDL in Poland; the SÚKL list of prescribing doctors in Czechia; the commercial register and Swissmedic in Switzerland — and publish every entry with its register reference, a link to the primary source and a visible date of check. We are not a healthcare provider, do not treat, do not advertise medicines and give no medical advice.
The verification mandate
Most directories in this field are marketing. Our entries are register checks: we never rely on a provider's website alone, every entry names the register it was checked against, and an entry we cannot confirm through at least two independent sources is removed. Listing is free and the order is alphabetical. The full process is in our method page.
What we list — and what we do not
Clinics, practices and telemedicine: the legal entity behind the brand, its register record and status, the consultation fees the operator itself publishes. Pharmacies: the register number, the operator, how they dispense. Medicines and products: what the state or the pharmacies themselves record, and the prices operators publish openly — never a price we had to log in to see, never a photo of a prescription medicine.
No ratings, no effect claims, no booking links, no paid placements. Where a register does not exist — no country except Czechia keeps a list of prescribing doctors — we say so rather than assemble a list from marketing pages, and where a country has no providers to find yet, its page says so instead of pretending.
Editorial
Guides and country explainers are written by the CannaEvidence team and checked against the regulatory primary sources cited in the text. A medical review board is being set up; a guide names a reviewer only once a review has actually taken place — we do not invent names.
Contact
hello@cannaevidence.com. Write in English or German. Corrections to entries are checked within five working days. We cannot answer clinical questions, recommend a treatment or judge anyone's suitability; cannabis-based medicines are prescription-only — speak to a listed provider or your own doctor. In a crisis, contact local emergency services.
