Alphabetical. Nothing is paid for, nothing is ranked, no entry links to a booking flow. Prices as the clinic publishes them on its own site, with source and date on the clinic's pricing page; they never include the medicine, which the pharmacy charges separately.

Register-checked: the entry stands on a public state register, linked on the card. Two sources checked: no register covers it (yet) — two independent public sources, one of them the operator's own site. One source only: the operator was found (search results, its own site) but no second source confirms who runs it — listed with the reason, without a card, last.

About this list

26 clinics. A clinic appears here only if we could find its record with the body that regulates it — the Care Quality Commission in England, Healthcare Inspectorate Wales in Wales — and every entry carries that record's own identifiers so you can check it in one click. Fees are consultation fees the clinic publishes itself, never the price of a medicine.

What CQC registration does and does not prove. CQC registration evidences one thing only: that the provider is registered with the Care Quality Commission to carry on a regulated activity, in every case here the treatment of disease, disorder or injury. It is not evidence that the clinic prescribes cannabis. It is not a statement about the quality of care, and where a rating is shown that rating may be several years old or inherited from an earlier registration. It is not evidence that the clinic is currently taking patients, and it is not a recommendation. There is no field in the CQC register, or in any other UK register, that records whether a service prescribes cannabis-based products for medicinal use, so the cannabis element of every entry rests on the operator's own published statements, not on the regulator's record. The one exception is Resilience Medicine Clinic, where CQC's own published summary describes the service as focused on cannabis-based products for medicinal use. CQC covers England only. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are regulated by Healthcare Improvement Scotland, Healthcare Inspectorate Wales and RQIA respectively; a clinic that treats patients across the UK by video from an English base appears only in the CQC register. Fees are consultation, membership and prescription-administration fees as published by the clinic on the date shown, and change frequently; they never include the cost of medicine, which is charged separately by the dispensing pharmacy.

Scotland is empty, and that is a finding rather than a gap: all 707 services on the Healthcare Improvement Scotland register were enumerated and none is a cannabis clinic. Wales has exactly one, in a register of 1,672.

Who is not on this list, and why

This is the part other UK directories leave out. Several brands that advertise themselves as medical cannabis clinics could not be found in any regulator's register under any trading name — which does not prove they are unlawful, but does mean nobody independent has verified them, and a reader sent to one by a comparison site should know that. Since the September 2026 recall check the list also names brands whose registration turned out to belong to another operator, and brands that were later matched and moved up.

  • Sapphire Medical Clinics Limited (trading as Curaleaf Medical Clinics) — CQC-registered (provider 1-6943797921, location 1-7619176838) but it is a second registration belonging to the same brand as Curaleaf Clinic, which is already listed. Excluded to avoid counting one brand twice.
  • Cannaray Wellness Limited — CQC-registered in England (provider 1-25807541730, location 1-27668832506) but its public website offers blood testing, weight-management and testosterone services, with no evidence of cannabis prescribing. Excluded because the CQC record does not support a cannabis claim and the operator does not make one.
  • Via Clinic Ltd — CQC-registered in England (provider 1-4314300591, location 1-18850317801) but its website presents a psychiatric service with no mention of cannabis-based products. Excluded for lack of evidence.
  • The Nottingham Road Clinic (Managed Healthcare Services Limited) — CQC-registered in England (provider 1-4811486923, location 1-18780720556) and reported in 2022 as launching a medical cannabis service, but its cannabis page no longer resolves and its current home page does not mention cannabis. Excluded because we could not verify a current service.
  • Khiron Clinics (NIH Healthcare Ltd) — CQC-registered in England but as residential care homes providing rehabilitation, not as a cannabis prescribing clinic. Different service; excluded.
  • Maidstone Aesthetics (Flawless You Ltd) — Surfaced only through a name collision with the domain mamedical.co.uk. An aesthetics clinic, unrelated to Mamedica. Excluded.
  • Airmed, Auravia, Anna Medicinals, Hippocratic Horizons, LeafEase, Leva Clinic, Lumir Clinic, MyAccess Clinics, Verday, DOE Medical, Zoto, Script Assist, Grow Access Project — These brands appear in commercial UK medical-cannabis clinic directories but we could find no matching provider, location or registered trading name in the CQC care directory of 2 September 2026 (57,085 active locations), nor in the HIW or Healthcare Improvement Scotland registers. Some are likely to be booking or membership brands operating under another provider's registration rather than registered providers in their own right. Excluded because no regulator record can be attached to the name. Marucanna and the Chelsea clinic were later matched to CQC records and are now listed (see Maruleaf Clinic / Marucanna and Chelsea Cannabis Clinic); LVL Health, London Cannabis Clinic, Medicann, NuggMD and Big Narstie Medical have their own entries below.
  • Scotland (any clinic) — We enumerated all 707 services in the Healthcare Improvement Scotland register of independent healthcare services and found no medical cannabis clinic. Clinics that prescribe to patients in Scotland do so remotely from an England-registered base, so their regulator record is a CQC record, not a Scottish one.
  • Northern Ireland (any clinic) — RQIA is the regulator for independent healthcare in Northern Ireland, but the RQIA registered-services dataset published on data.gov.uk currently contains no data resources and we could not retrieve a machine-readable register. No Northern Irish clinic is anchored here.
  • LVL Health — Its site says it is a trading name of Harley Street (CPC) Ltd (CQC provider 1-7336706041) at 76 Harley Street and publishes a £99 joining fee and £299 monthly fee. The CQC register shows that provider's only location was transferred to The Plug Medical Group Limited on 29 September 2025 and the old profile is archived; Harley Street (CPC) Ltd has no active CQC location. Whether LVL Health now prescribes under TPMG's registration is not stated by either party, so it stays out until it is.
  • London Cannabis Clinic — Website states that it prescribes cannabis-based products; no CQC record under this name, and its 76 Harley Street address is the LVL Health / TPMG location above. Not listed until the registration relationship is published.
  • Medicann (Medicann UK) — UK-wide telemedicine brand with its own cannabis eligibility pages; expected in the Healthcare Improvement Scotland register, where no record was found, and none in CQC. The brand's Jersey and Guernsey clinics are outside UK regulators.
  • NuggMD UK — Brand that operates on Wellford Medical Clinic Limited's CQC registration (1-12434212554); Wellford Clinics is already listed, so the brand is noted there rather than counted twice.
  • Big Narstie Medical — Marketing front whose own site says all clinical services are delivered by independent CQC-registered clinics (Integro, per third-party directories). Not a provider.
  • Borders Pain Clinic — Scottish telemedicine clinic that states it prescribes cannabis for chronic pain; no record found in the Healthcare Improvement Scotland register.
  • Medical Rehabilitation (Taunton) — States its independent prescribers use medical cannabis; no CQC record found under this name.
  • Phoenix Mental Health Services — CQC record exists (1-203150829) but its own site does not mention cannabis; only third-party directories do. Not listed until the operator says so itself.
  • Dr Green London — Site unreachable on three attempts; no CQC record; search snippets pair it with an online 'dispensary' offering a free doctor visit. Pattern of an unlicensed seller posing as a clinic — not listed.
  • Windsor Medical Practice (Windsor CBPM), Susida Medical, Pura Health (Jersey and Guernsey) — Crown Dependency clinics regulated by the Jersey Care Commission and Guernsey authorities, outside CQC, HIW, HIS and RQIA. Out of scope for this list.

How this list was made

We started from the Care Quality Commission's own open data: the CQC care directory published on 2 September 2026, which lists all 57,085 locations where care is regulated in England, together with the HSCA Active Locations file published on 1 September 2026, which adds each location's registration date, regulated activities, latest overall rating and the provider's Companies House number. We searched both files for every medical cannabis clinic brand we could identify from clinic directories and from the operators' own sites, matching on location name, registered trading name, provider name and website. For each match we took the identity from the regulator's record, not from the clinic: provider legal name, CQC provider ID and location ID, registered address, registration date, latest overall rating and CQC profile URL. We then confirmed on the operator's own website that it provides cannabis-based prescribing, and recorded only consultation, membership and prescription-administration fees published on a static public page, with the URL and the date checked. For Wales we searched the full Healthcare Inspectorate Wales service index of 1,672 services; for Scotland we enumerated all 707 services in the Healthcare Improvement Scotland register of independent healthcare services. On 27 September 2026 we re-ran recall from the other direction: real search-engine result pages for clinic and pharmacy queries, the Cannabis Industry Council member lists, Grow Group's clinic list and four public directories were mined for brand names; every new name was checked against its own site and then against the CQC, HIW or GPhC record, and each register ID above was opened by hand before publication. Names whose regulator record could not be found, or whose registration turned out to belong to another operator, are listed below under 'not included' with the reason, rather than dropped.

One thing the UK gets right that Germany does not: only a doctor on the GMC Specialist Register may initiate a prescription for a cannabis-based product, so checking your prescriber against the GMC's free public search verifies the legality of the prescription itself. What that register cannot do is generate a doctor for you — it has around a hundred thousand entries and no cannabis field — which is why the route in the UK runs through a clinic.
