Prices — what is published

No UK clinic or pharmacy publishes a product-level price list without a patient login — clinic medication lists may not be displayed openly (Human Medicines Regulations 2012). What operators publish openly are entry prices per form; the price of a named product is in the clinic's formulary after registration.

What the register does not record

The most important limit is what dm+d does NOT contain. As of the 3 September 2026 data, dm+d holds no cannabis flower and no full-spectrum cannabis oil products at all: there is no VMP linked to the ingredient Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol ('There are currently no VMPs for this Ingredient'), no VTM for cannabis, and no AMP whose name or supplier matches Bedrocan, Bediol, Bedica, Bedrolite, Pedanios, Aurora, Adven, Curaleaf, Khiron, Althea, Tilray, Spectrum, Cellen, Little Green Pharma, 4C Labs, Grow Pharma, Noidecs, Target Healthcare or IPS. The unlicensed cannabis-based products for medicinal use (CBPMs) that UK private clinics prescribe therefore have no dm+d entry and no dm+d SNOMED code, and cannot be listed on a dm+d-anchored catalogue. What dm+d does hold is narrower: the three licensed cannabinoid medicines (Sativex, Epidyolex, nabilone) together with their discontinued predecessors and wholesaler-labelled versions, one 'Special Order' unlicensed cannabidiol oral solution, three 'Special Order' unlicensed nabilone strengths, one unlicensed dronabinol import from the United States, and the pre-licence Epidiolex entries. Presence in dm+d proves only that NHSBSA has assigned an identifier to a product description so that it can be coded on NHS systems; it does not prove that the product is currently manufactured, stocked, imported, prescribed, reimbursed, or lawful to promote. A 'Special Order' AMP is a generic placeholder for an unlicensed special obtained from any manufacturer or importer and names no supplier. 'Discontinued' and 'Invalid' are dm+d's own flags and are reproduced as found; absence of a flag does not mean the product is available. dm+d does not record marketing-authorisation numbers, so licence numbers appear only where the MHRA SmPC was read on 7 September 2026; for the other MHRA-licensed nabilone AMPs (Meda, Cambridge Laboratories, Valeant, A A H, Alliance Healthcare) the licence number could not be tied to the dm+d record with certainty and is left empty. THC/CBD figures are given only where dm+d states a strength in the product name; cannabis extract composition of Sativex beyond its dm+d VMP strength is not reproduced. Nothing here is a statement about efficacy, indication, or suitability for any patient.

Beneath the flower: the 9 importers and manufacturers the MHRA licenses

Every cannabis flower and full-spectrum oil prescribed privately in the UK is an unlicensed special with no product-level record anywhere. What can be checked is the company: it must hold an MHRA manufacturer's (specials) licence or wholesale dealer's licence, and those registers are public. This is that layer — the licence number, what it covers, and the product families each supplier names on its own site. Names only: no strengths, no effects, no prices, because no public document backs them.

What an MHRA licence proves. MHRA-GMDP does not list MS ('specials') licences; those come from a separately published CSV that is updated monthly and may lag. An MS, MIA or WDA(H) licence proves only that the company may manufacture, import or wholesale medicines within the stated scope — it says nothing about whether any cannabis product is currently available, its quality, or its suitability. There is no UK product-level register for unlicensed CBPMs (the NHS dm+d holds none), so product families are self-declared names copied from supplier sites, with no potency or effect claims. A Home Office CD licence cannot be independently checked. Several well-known brands (Bedrocan, Aurora, Adven, Tilray, Althea, Khiron, LGP, Noidecs) are not UK licence holders themselves; they appear only where a UK importer states the relationship, otherwise in not_included. Company circumstances change (e.g. Grow Group UK Limited is in a voluntary arrangement; Lyphe Group was dissolved and acquired) — see notes.

Anchored to: MHRA UK WDA(H) 54893 · Home Office controlled-drug licence stated by the company

WDA(H): Annex 1: medicinal products without a UK authorisation, both intended (1.2) and not intended (1.3) for the UK market; procurement, supply, export (2.1, 2.3, 2.4); products imported from countries on a list (2.6); narcotic or psychotropic products (3.1.1); POM (4.1)

Press release (13 Apr 2022) states Cantourage UK received an MHRA WDA(H) (10 Dec 2021) and a 'Home Office narcotics license under the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001'. The UK site describes a 'curated Tier-1 formulary' from partner cultivators but names no individual brands. No MS licence found.

  3. Curaleaf Laboratories (Rokshaw)

Rokshaw Limited (trading as Curaleaf Laboratories / Curaleaf Pharmacy) · Companies House 08154114

    Anchored to: MHRA MS 41467 · UK WDA(H) 41467

MS: Non-sterile products: capsules (hard shell), liquids for external and internal use, other solid dosage forms, semi-solids, suppositories; manufacture of herbal products (1.4.1.1); primary packing incl. tablets; secondary packing; QC chemical/physical testing; importation (2.1). The MHRA recall notice is the only checkable document tying a named product family to this MS licence; it is cited for the name only, not for the recall content. 'Adven' is Curaleaf International's European brand (patient leaflets on curaleafinternational.com); no UK document naming Adven's UK importer was found, so Adven is not attributed here.

Own site: 'GROW are the UK's largest suppliers of quality prescribed cannabis medicines'. Companies House shows the company in a Voluntary Arrangement (CVA). Third-party sources describe Grow Pharma as UK distributor of Bedrocan; Bedrocan's own site does not name a UK importer, so Bedrocan is not attributed here. No Home Office licence statement found on the site.

Scottish cultivator. Own products page still says the company 'is currently undergoing its application to the U.K. regulators for the appropriate licences'; the MHRA registers nonetheless show MS 54236 and WDA(H) 54236 in force. The Home Office statement comes from trade press quoting the company, not from the company's own site.

  6. Internode Pharma (Aurora Cannabis UK importer)

Internode Pharma Ltd · Companies House 15225062

Aurora Cannabis announced (19–21 Aug 2026) the acquisition of Internode Pharma Limited ('a medical cannabis importer and wholesaler') and HAP Pharma Limited to obtain 'a direct route to the patient' in the UK; the announcement names no Aurora product families for the UK and trade press notes Internode had minimal trading activity to March 2026. Included because the WDA(H) anchor is confirmed; the Aurora attribution rests on the acquisition announcement. No MS licence found.

Brands with no UK licence of their own

These names appear on clinic menus and in patient forums. None holds an MHRA licence in its own name; where a UK importer states the relationship, the brand is recorded under that importer above.

  • Bedrocan — Dutch producer; no UK MHRA licence in its own name. Bedrocan's availability page lists the UK without naming an importer; third-party sources name Grow Pharma as UK distributor, which is not a first-party statement.
  • Aurora Cannabis (brand) — No UK licence in Aurora's name; its UK route is the acquired importer Internode Pharma Ltd (listed). No Aurora UK product families named in the announcement.
  • Adven (Curaleaf International brand) — No UK document naming Adven's UK importer/manufacturer was found; Curaleaf's UK licensed entity Rokshaw Limited is listed with the product family the MHRA has named.
  • Khiron / Zerenia — No entry under 'Khiron' or 'Zerenia' in MHRA-GMDP (WDA(H)/MIA) or the gov.uk MS register.
  • Althea — No entry under 'Althea' in MHRA-GMDP or the MS register; named only as a sourced brand by pharmacies.
  • Tilray Medical — No entry under 'Tilray' or 'Lyphe' in MHRA-GMDP or the MS register (Tilray Lyphe UK Ltd, CH 17146093, incorporated April 2026, holds no listed licence). Historic distribution via Grow Pharma is recorded under Grow Group UK Limited.
  • Spectrum Therapeutics (Canopy Growth) — No MHRA licence found; 'Spectrum Biomedical UK' and 'SpectrumX Direct' in the registers are unrelated companies.
  • Cellen — No entry under 'Cellen' in MHRA-GMDP or the MS register.
  • Little Green Pharma — No UK licence in its own name; imported by Hilltop Leaf under a 2023 agreement (recorded under Hilltop Leaf).
  • Noidecs — Brand of the former Lyphe Group (Lyphe Group Limited dissolved 17 Feb 2026); no current MHRA licence holder identified for the brand.
  • Bod (Bod Australia) — No entry under 'Bod' in MHRA-GMDP or the MS register.
  • Ilios — No entry under 'Ilios' in MHRA-GMDP or the MS register.
  • Cannaray — No entry under 'Cannaray' in MHRA-GMDP or the MS register.
  • Medicann — No entry in MHRA-GMDP or the MS register; Medcann Pharma Ltd (London) is a pharmacy, not a licensed importer.
  • Glass Pharms, Celadon Pharmaceuticals, Dalgety, Avida Medical, Lumir — UK-associated cultivators/brands with no matching holder in MHRA-GMDP or the MS register at the check date.
  • SOMAÍ Pharmaceuticals, Puro, Organigram, Pure Sunfarms, The Green Organic Dutchman, Fraser Valley, Qwest — Foreign producers without UK licences; recorded as product families under their stated UK importers (Grow/IPS, IPS, 4C Labs).
  • Xeal Pharma Ltd, Therismos Limited, Smartway Pharmaceuticals Limited, PCCA Limited, Mamedica Dispensary Limited, Specials Pharma Ltd — Hold MS and/or WDA(H) licences (46688, 40102, 42332, 17661, 57567, 53359) but their own sites name no CBPM product families they supply; recorded in the pharmacies dataset where applicable.

How this list was made

Built on 7 September 2026 by reading the public NHSBSA dm+d browser (https://services.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/dmd-browser/, which redirects to https://dmd-browser.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/; the browser stated 'Drug data up to date as of 3 September 2026'). dm+d is the NHS dictionary of medicines and devices, maintained by NHSBSA with NHS England, and assigns SNOMED CT identifiers to Virtual Therapeutic Moieties (VTM), Virtual Medicinal Products (VMP), Actual Medicinal Products (AMP, i.e. a supplier's product) and packs (AMPP). Method: (1) ingredient search for 'cannab', 'dronabinol', 'tetrahydrocannabinol', 'nabilone', 'cannabis', 'hemp' — dm+d holds four relevant ingredient records: Cannabidiol (SNOMED 96223000), Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (72024007), Dronabinol (386846008) and Nabilone (395806009); the VMP lists attached to each were read; (2) product-name searches at VTM, VMP and AMP level, with 'Show Invalid' on and discontinued/special-order/parallel-import items included, for: cannabis, cannab, cannabidiol, cannabinoid, tetrahydrocannabinol, THC, CBD, dronabinol, nabilone, nabiximols, Sativex, Epidyolex, Epidiolex, flos, flower, sativa, hemp, marijuana, medicinal, Bedrocan, Bediol, Bedica, Bedrolite, Pedanios, Aurora, Adven, Khiron, Althea, Tilray, Spectrum, Cellen, Little Green, 4C, Grow Pharma, Noidecs, Curaleaf; (3) supplier-field searches for Bedrocan, Aurora, Curaleaf, Khiron, Grow, Cellen, Tilray, Althea, 4C, Little Green, Noidecs, Target Healthcare, IPS, Spectrum; (4) every AMP found under the cannabinoid VMPs was opened and its name history, SNOMED code, controlled-drug category, licensing authority, availability restriction, discontinued/invalid flags, parent VMP/VTM and AMPP packs were recorded; each AMPP was opened for pack size, sub-pack description, AMPP SNOMED code and legal category (indicative prices were deliberately not captured). The OpenPrescribing dm+d API (https://openprescribing.net/api/1.0/dmd/) was tried first but returned a Cloudflare JavaScript challenge to automated requests, so it was not used; the dm+d browser itself answered directly. TRUD was not used. For the licensed products, the MHRA products database (https://products.mhra.gov.uk/) was queried through the same public search index the site uses, and the current SmPC PDFs were read to confirm marketing-authorisation holder and licence number: Sativex PL 61050/0001 (MAH SVX Therapeutics Limited, SmPC revised 22/06/2026); Epidyolex PLGB 36772/0001 (MAH Jazz Pharmaceuticals Research UK Limited, SmPC revised 08/06/2026); Nabilone 1mg PL 25298/0158 and Nabilone 0.25mg PL 25298/0157 (MAH Brown & Burk UK Ltd, SmPCs revised 07/07/2026). Names are copied exactly from the dm+d AMP name field; 'registration_holder' is the supplier exactly as dm+d records it in the AMP name suffix, which is not always the same legal entity as the MHRA marketing-authorisation holder.
