Which medical cannabis clinic is cheapest in the UK? What a first year of clinic fees adds up to, clinic by clinic

In short: Of the 26 clinics on the regulator-anchored list, 19 publish enough to add up a first year of clinic fees under one formula (an initial consultation plus 3 follow-ups, or the clinic's own year-one schedule). The figures run from £0 to £900, median £186; 6 clinics come in under £100 and 3 at £500 or more. The medicine is never in these figures — pharmacies price it, not clinics. “Cheapest” depends on the plan you would actually use, so the arithmetic is shown for every row.

No first-year figure can be derived (7)

  • Chelsea Cannabis Clinic (CP Medical Clinic) — The clinic publishes a general private-GP price list and repeat-prescription fees, but no cannabis-specific consultation fee.
  • Jorja Emerson Centre — This clinic does not publish consultation fees on a static public page.
  • Maruleaf Clinic / Marucanna (The Yardley Clinic) — This clinic does not publish consultation fees on a static public page; its site directs enquirers to phone or use a contact form.
  • Medisonal Clinic — Only a 'from £49' consultation figure is published; follow-up pricing is not, so no first-year figure can be derived.
  • Resilience Medicine Clinic — No consultation fees are published on a static public page that we could verify.
  • Solihull Health Check Clinic — This clinic does not publish consultation fees on a static public page; its site says only that prices are competitive with no hidden charges.
  • The Plug Medical Group — This clinic does not publish consultation fees on a static public page; its site states that treatment costs are provided after a patient is approved.

Fees as published by each clinic on the date shown on its card (latest read 27 September 2026); the regulator's record from the CQC care directory and the HIW register (27 September 2026). No clinic pays to be listed; the links lead plainly to the clinic's card, which carries every source URL.

How the figure is built — and what it leaves out

One care pattern for everyone: an initial consultation, a first follow-up at about three months, then a review every three months — four consultations in the first year. Where a clinic publishes its own year-one schedule (Mamedica, Cantourage), that schedule is summed instead. Where a clinic offers several published configurations, the cheapest for this pattern is shown and named — a reader on a different plan pays a different figure, and the clinic's card lists them all.

Counted: consultation, onboarding, membership and plan fees. Not counted: the medicine (the dispensing pharmacy prices it — see what is dispensed and at what published price); per-prescription administration and delivery fees, because their number depends on the individual prescription (they are named in the table instead); conditional charges such as no-show fees; promotional prices — a “was £99.99, now £29.99” is counted at £99.99, because an offer is not a price list; and eligibility-restricted rates (veterans, transfers, access schemes). A “from £X” anywhere in the inputs makes the whole figure a minimum.

What the figure is not: a judgement of quality. The CQC or HIW column shows the regulator's published rating where one exists and “registered, not yet rated” where a location is on the register but has not been inspected — a rating is often several years old and says nothing about the cannabis service as such (what CQC registration does and does not prove). Two clinics on this list carry a “Requires improvement” rating from 2026; it is shown because it is the regulator's word, not ours.

Why “cheapest” is a plan, not a clinic

The same clinic can be the cheapest and among the dearest depending on the plan: pay-as-you-go at £29 an appointment costs more over a year than a £5-a-month membership if you need four appointments, and less if you need two. Subscriptions that bundle “free follow-ups” cost what the subscription costs whether you use them or not. Clinics that charge nothing for consultations exist, and the rules of this list apply to them as to everyone else: they are registered with the regulator and the figure is what they publish — how they are paid is a question for the clinic, and the questions to ask before the first appointment include it.

A note on advertising: UK clinics may not advertise prescription-only medicines to the public (Human Medicines Regulations 2012, reg. 284; CAP Code 12.12), and on 28 January 2026 the Advertising Standards Authority upheld a complaint against one clinic's claim that its fees were “lower than any other clinic in the UK” and its year-two fee comparison chart — for an unclear eligibility restriction on the cheaper plan, omitted upfront fees and an unverifiable method (ruling A25-1312203, CAP Code 3.1, 3.3, 3.7, 3.32–3.34, 3.38–3.39). This page makes no superiority claim; it publishes arithmetic with its inputs, its exclusions and its sources, and the eligibility-restricted plans are left out for exactly that reason.

Sources and corrections

Every price on this page is a transcription of the clinic's own pricing page on the date shown on its card; the formula is the one above and is applied identically to every row. Clinics that find an error or publish new prices: how to send a correction — the figure follows the data, nothing is edited by hand. How we verify.
